Although from the outside it seems that the artist’s success is easy and natural, Monika herself does not hide: behind the shining facade lie years of hard work, wandering abroad, and a firm “no” to major music producers.
“I just worked very hard. I went absolutely my own way, didn’t listen to the big producers – nothing. I did what seemed best to me. It was a longer, harder path. From America, England back to Lithuania – that took time. The most important thing is to sincerely follow your authentic path and what you truly believe in, without the motivation just to earn money, be a star, or be famous, because there is nothing terribly interesting there, it just seems so from the outside. Just sincere motivation to do what you cannot live without – you have to create, and then everything comes by itself. It would be enough for me to perform for a hundred people or an arena – it’s the same to me,” the singer said on the LNK show “From… To…”
Although the singer’s performances are planned far into the future today, Monika herself does not hide that her career path was long and full of searching. Having tried her strength in the USA and the United Kingdom, she eventually returned to Lithuania.

The artist is open that one of her most important achievements was the decision to reject the standard rules of the music industry and not to succumb to the pressure of producers. According to Monika Liu, the most important driving force in creativity is sincere motivation and love for what you do. She is convinced that there is enough room under the sun for everyone, and she wishes those pursuing their goals to forget their fears.
“I wish them all to enjoy what they do and not to overthink, to forget everything and just do it out of love,” shared Monika Liu.
