Fėliusia earned a degree in economics, while Antanas chose the path of a zootechnician. Assigned to work in the then collective farms, the couple moved to Ėriškiai in 1981 and have lived there ever since.

The spouses married on May 29, 1976, in Utena. Soon the family welcomed twins, and later a youngest child. Today, the couple farms, enjoys a large family and the company of loved ones. Their grown children have given them six grandchildren.

The couple was presented with a framed copy of their marriage certificate – a symbolic reminder of the promise made five decades ago, the life path walked together, and the preserved strength of their family.

It has become a beautiful tradition in Panevėžys district to honor couples who have lived together for 50 or more years. These meetings are an opportunity not only to congratulate the jubilarians but also to thank people who, through their lives, create a strong, value-based community.

The municipality invites couples celebrating anniversaries to inform the Panevėžys district municipality’s Civil Registry and Archives Department about this occasion so that important life milestones can be marked with due attention and respect. Then the district mayor personally visits and congratulates families who have preserved long-lasting marriages.
