Kaunas was chosen not by chance
The bar announced the decision to move to Kaunas on Facebook on Tuesday.
“Vilnius, Kaunas – Slojikai is coming! Most of you voted for our company’s expansion specifically to Kaunas, and who are we to oppose the voice of the people – Slojikai will be in Kaunas! Follow the news!”, the bar announced.

According to the bar owner Paulius Liubartas, the decision to expand to the temporary capital was not spontaneous – the idea was nurtured for several months, and the need for a new place was dictated both by customers and the growing popularity of the format itself.
“Yes, until now we had a bar only in Vilnius for six years and felt the need to establish another such bar in Kaunas. This decision was maturing for several months,” said P. Liubartas.
According to him, Kaunas was chosen due to a clear flow of customers and a formed need specifically in this city.

“Our bar is famous for cultural and culinary events, which are quite unique in Lithuania. These events often attracted people from other cities. The majority of such people were from Kaunas. We felt such a need and heard from people that a bar like ours was missing. So without much delay, we decided to implement this idea,” said the bar owner.
In Kaunas, the bar “Slojikai” will be located at Vilniaus St. 16. It is planned that the bar will open its doors at the end of August, before September 1st.
“Now summer is coming, vacation time, when big cities empty out. Most people return to big cities before the start of the school year, so we are targeting our opening for that time. We are not in a hurry,” the interlocutor informed 15min.
