He added that operations in southern Lebanon will continue.
“The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) at this stage will continue fire and ground operations, will remain in the security zone in Lebanon up to the Blue Line, including the Bofor area, without civilian return, continuing to dismantle terrorist infrastructure,” said Israel Katz in a statement in which he welcomed the ceasefire agreement reached on Wednesday.
He stated that Israeli forces maintained “freedom of action, with American support, to strike Beirut in response to fire against Israeli communities and territory.”
