E. Jakštytė agreed to share the post about what happened and how her father feels now with the readers of the Žmonės.lt portal.

“Two weeks ago, it seemed that the world stopped for a moment. Dad had a heart attack..

Today he is already in rehabilitation. Every day he walks several kilometers, works persistently on himself, and is gradually getting stronger. Looking at him, I can’t help but admire. How much willpower, stubbornness, and desire to return to a full life he has.

But what inspires me the most is how he accepts this stage of life. Even when he was lying in the hospital after the heart attack and no one knew what would happen next, he did not lose his smile. He remained positive. And I believe that this attitude helps him heal.

Yesterday we walked together, picked some mushrooms, picked some berries, laughed a lot. I kept looking at him and thinking how happy I am to be able to hug him.

Such moments really remind you what is truly important in life. When you wake up in the morning and feel no pain. When your loved ones are nearby. When you can be together. These seem like simple things, but they contain so much happiness.

We often look for happiness somewhere far away, although it lives right here.

I am infinitely grateful to have such a dad. He teaches me that we cannot always choose what will happen to us, but we can always choose how we react to it.

I wish everyone, even in the hardest moments, not to lose hope, positivity, and a smile. I believe that sometimes this becomes a much stronger medicine than we think.

I love you, Dad,” wrote E. Jakštytė.

Friends and followers of Eglė immediately reacted to the post. They wished the performer’s father health and did not spare supportive words.
