Greta, you are currently preparing for a creative anniversary. How did the idea to celebrate such an occasion come about?
It was easy to count that this year is an anniversary, as I have saved my first photograph in the press, in the “Sostinė” supplement of “Lietuvos rytas”, with a clearly printed date. Although I don’t really celebrate my birthdays, I decided to commemorate such a significant professional anniversary – and how else to do it but by organizing an exhibition of works?.. I pulled out the oldest negatives I could find – they are from 1998. I patiently reviewed what interesting things could be shown to contemporary people, and the exhibition title “Vintage Vilnius” was born in my mind as if by itself. I will open it on July 23rd: for a week, the exhibition will be viewable at the “Corner” hotel, and in August and September – at the K29 business center.
