Giant snake swallowed a 50-year-old woman: a horrific family tragedy shocked Indonesia

50-year-old Farida was walking through the Kaumpang agricultural province (Mamudžu region, West Sulawesi island, Indonesia), when reportedly a giant snake approached her and bit her leg.

Then the snake strangled Farida and killed her, swallowing her entire body – starting with the head.

A python about 6 meters long was found and soon confirmed what was most feared.

It was a reticulated python (Malayopython reticulatus) – the longest snake in the world, capable of growing to more than 6 meters in length.
