Mykolas Alekna’s sister, the world record holder, threw the implement 45 m 8 cm in her most successful attempt, achieving a personal best. She improved her record by 51 cm.
Only Estonian Katarina Verst (47 m 25 cm) surpassed the Lithuanian.
First places for Lithuania in these competitions have already been won by Martynas Kolupaila (100 m run; 10.55 sec.), Nikita Liatukaitė (3000 m steeplechase; 11.10.63) and the Lithuanian boys’ 4×100 m relay team (Džiugas Persidskis, Erikas Žotkevičius, Tadas Aninkevičius and Martynas Kolupaila; 41.59 sec. – best Lithuanian season result).

Silver medals were won by Otas Viliūnas (hammer; 55 m 75 cm), Ieva Šadžiūtė (100 m run; 11.80 sec.) and Kamilė Šauklytė (hammer; 44 m 74 cm).
