“The phone has long been a work tool for me. I create content for social networks with it, take photos for articles, sometimes even film shows. I have been doing all this with the phone since around 2017,” says Orijus Gasanovas.
Choosing the iPhone in extreme conditions
According to Orijus, the ability to act quickly without additional equipment, settings, or preparation is especially important when traveling.
“I used to carry a camera as well, but I noticed that if you want to capture a real, unposed shot, the phone is much more convenient. It is always at hand – no need to take out a separate camera, change lenses, or adjust settings, just press and shoot,” says O. Gasanovas.
Orijus recalls that previous devices did not always meet camera expectations, especially regarding image naturalness.
“I didn’t always like it when artificial intelligence interfered too much while photographing – it brightened the image and sometimes it looked unnatural. It is important to me that the image remains as realistic as possible. The current iPhone 17 Pro Max phone takes very natural photos and handles low light conditions well – sometimes even better than some professional cameras,” says the journalist.
Equally important to Orijus is how the smartphone performs in extreme conditions.
“For example, in Norway I had to work in 30 degrees below zero, and in Vietnam – 40 degrees heat – the iPhone 17 Pro Max did not freeze or fail under either condition. It is very important to me that the phone is reliable even with intensive use. On one trip, I charged the phone at night, and from six in the morning until evening I photographed, filmed, and worked all day – the battery lasted until evening, even though I used it continuously. I have heard from friends about phones that suddenly shut down even though they show about 20% battery left, but my experience is different,” says the traveler.
From phone screen to magazine pages
According to Orijus, people today buy many different devices to create content, but the phone can do everything – record high-quality video with both front and main cameras, take photos, stream live, connect microphones. For a content creator, that is completely enough – no additional equipment is needed.

He says such capabilities allow not only convenient content creation on the road but also reaching a very wide audience.
“Recently, a photo taken with my iPhone 17 Pro Max gathered 1.8 million views in one day. One million! I had never had such a result in my life – neither with videos nor with any other formats,” Orijus shares his excitement.
According to him, simplicity and the ability to react quickly often become the main factors determining content success. An image created with a phone can become not only viral on social networks but also meet professional quality standards.
“If we talk about journalists, photos taken with a phone can confidently be printed in magazines – even across two pages. My own photos taken with a phone have been published in Lithuanian and foreign press, as well as airline publications,” says Orijus.
The traveler also notes that the latest iPhone phones are very easy to use.
“I like that everything in the devices is intuitive and clear. When the phone adapts to your work rhythm, not the other way around, then it really becomes convenient for everyday use,” he concludes.
