For communication operators – new obligations worth 43 million euros to manage risks, improve quality

New requirements set by the Communications Regulatory Authority (RRT), which, according to RRT estimates, will cost companies about 43 million euros, are designed to improve the quality of services and their resilience to disruptions, the institution announced on Friday.

“The requirements will help increase the resilience of communication networks and ensure the continuity of services and their more stable quality. We aim for fewer disruptions, and for communication to be restored to residents and businesses as quickly as possible if they occur,” said RRT Chairwoman Jūratė Šovienė in the statement.
