This is reported by the Ukrainian portal “The Kyiv Independent”.
The drone crashed on August 9 in the Krokmaz border village about 70 kilometers from the Ukrainian port city of Odesa, which that day became one of the targets of Russia’s large-scale attack.
The Moldovan media outlet “NewsMaker” reported that the police found debris of a “rocket-type drone” that caused a fire and damaged buildings in the Ștefan Vodă district.
“This incident is a serious violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova, which endangered the safety of our citizens,” said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Although Russian drones had previously violated Moldovan airspace since the start of the full-scale war, this is the first time such an aircraft was detected on the country’s territory.

“This is a direct consequence of Russia’s war and it poses a danger to all of us,” Moldovan President Maia Sandu wrote on the social network “X”.
“The danger to people’s lives in our region is real and it is increasing. This must stop,” she emphasized.
Similar cases have occurred in Ukraine’s neighboring countries – Romania and Poland, where fragments of “Shahed” type drones were found.
