An employee identified by the Russian media as 46-year-old Jugala Daterao was found with “gummy candies containing narcotics” during a customs check at Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport this January, the agency reported.

Disney has not yet publicly commented on this decision.
The man was traveling to Russia from Qatar, TASS reported. Several Russian media outlets called him an Indian citizen.
J. Daterao told the court that the mentioned substance was legally prescribed to him in the USA “to manage the effects of brain surgery,” TASS reported.
It is still unclear why he was traveling to Russia.
The court found him guilty of drug distribution and smuggling, RIA Novosti reported, citing the regional court’s press service.

He was sentenced to serve his sentence in a penal colony and was ordered to pay a fine of 30,000 rubles (357 euros).
According to his LinkedIn profile, J. Daterao has been working as an entertainment program manager at The Walt Disney Company since 2019.
