On Saturday, the group “Karaliai” was supposed to perform at the festival in the town of Gavaltuva, Marijampolė district, and at the festival in the town of Kvedarna, Šilalė district. However, a decision to change plans was made even before the events.

The reason – extremely difficult weather conditions. The Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service today warns of heavy rain and dangerous wind, with gusts in some places reaching up to 30 m/s. Warnings were also sent to residents’ mobile phones due to the hazardous weather conditions.
Assessing the situation, the group “Karaliai” and event organizers decided not to risk the safety of the audience, performers, and technical team.
“We really did not want to make such a decision. We were prepared for the concerts, people were looking forward to them, but right now safety is the most important. When such strong wind and heavy rain are forecasted, we cannot take risks,” says the group “Karaliai”.
But there is good news
Although today’s concerts are canceled, fans will not have to say goodbye to the planned performances.

The “Karaliai” concert planned for the Kvedarna town festival is postponed to Sunday.
Meanwhile, at the Gavaltuva town festival, the group will meet with their fans in September. The exact concert date will be announced later, after coordinating with the event organizers.
“We sincerely apologize to everyone who planned to come today. We know that people were looking forward to these festivals and our concert. But we promise – the meetings will definitely take place. In Kvedarna – already on Sunday, and in Gavaltuva – in September. We will be waiting for everyone,” says the group.
