On Friday, the Klaipėda district municipality presented the project proposals for the future school in Trušeliai to the public for consideration.
They foresee that in the northern part of the current institution’s plot, a two-story building of about 4.8 thousand square meters should appear in the future.
“A building intended for primary school education is planned.
It is planned to have educational rooms: 12 primary education classes, a total of 288 children, and about 38 staff members are expected.
The building is designed to include dining and food preparation rooms, sports and event halls, service staff rooms, teachers’ and administration rooms, auxiliary rooms, and more,” the document published on August 21 states.
Pedestrian paths, playgrounds, and sports fields are planned around the new school, an inner courtyard with a rest and event area will be formed, and parking spaces for staff and visitors will be designed nearby.

About six hundred 1st to 8th grade students study at the “Saulė” school, which opened a year ago, and over 230 children attend the new kindergarten.
The public discussion of the primary school project proposals is planned for mid-September, only after which the next stages will begin – preparation of the work project and construction.
The current “Saulė” school was built in one year and three months, it will cost the Klaipėda district municipality more than 45.3 million euros, which must be paid over 12 years.

It is not ruled out that in the future this educational institution may become a gymnasium.
