The Kremlin claims that during his presidency, D. Trump allegedly wanted to restore US-Russia relations, and V. Putin assured him that he has no hostile plans towards Europe, reports “The Guardian.”

Talked for an hour

J. Ushakov clarified that the conversation lasted exactly an hour and took place in a manner characteristic of leaders, “based on mutual respect and businesslike,” was constructive and “very open.” At the same time, he emphasized that the conversation was confidential, so its details are not disclosed.

According to J. Ushakov, the leaders positively assessed the results of the American representatives’ visits. Contacts in this direction, as well as through other channels, will continue, he said.

Will he attack Europe?

According to J. Ushakov, V. Putin gave D. Trump an allegedly “objective and comprehensive assessment” of the situation on the battlefield. V. Putin repeatedly tried to portray that Russian forces are making progress on the front line, occasionally falsely announcing the capture of Ukrainian territories, notes “The Guardian.”

According to J. Ushakov, D. Trump said during the conversation that the end of the war in Ukraine could open the way for a broader restoration of US-Russia relations.

J. Ushakov also added that V. Putin assured D. Trump that Russia has “no hostile plans” towards Europe.

In recent days, D. Trump has claimed that V. Putin would not attack NATO territory, thus downplaying the anxiety prevailing in European capitals that Russia might eventually test the Alliance’s strength in some form of military invasion.
