Polish media reported on Tuesday that Warsaw police had arrested a man suspected of dropping a backpack on metro tracks at the “Centrum” station on Monday.
The incident occurred during rush hour. Transport services had to close several stations on the north-western metro line and provide replacement buses for tens of thousands of passengers while the dropped backpack was checked for explosives.

His deportation was confirmed on Thursday by Piotr Niemiec, a representative of the border guard service unit.
“The man is banned from entering Poland and the Schengen area for ten years. He is also an undesirable person in Poland. He has already been escorted to the border and returned to Ukraine,” said P. Niemiec.
