According to Marius, a reader who informed the editorial office about this, a former employee of “Kaišiadorių vandenys” who held high positions in the company may have acted this way.

About 5 ares of state land, located behind an outbuilding on a private plot, were appropriated. In other words, one resident of Kaišiadorys simply illegally expanded his living area, fencing off a piece of land that did not belong to him with a stone fence.

In the appropriated area, a dug-out pond with a small bridge is visible. Stones were laid out on the shore, and in April, fish smokehouses and a gazebo were still standing. It was evident that the fence had “encroached” on the drainage ditch.

Ordered to remove everything

The State Territorial Planning and Construction Inspectorate (Construction Inspectorate) recorded these violations back in February – an area of about 5.2 ares was arbitrarily fenced off and used on state land, with a gazebo, fence elements (stone and hedge fence), and a bridge in the pond.

A decision was made: the violator must remove everything from the seized state land plot within six months, restoring its accessibility to the public. Thus, time has been given until August.

The violations, albeit a bit later, were also recorded by the Environmental Protection Department. Environmentalists also issued instructions, but gave a much shorter deadline for removing the violations – this expired in mid-May. What is no longer left in the seized part of the state land?
