As reported by gazeta.pl, a “PKP Intercity” passenger train traveling from Lublin to Szczecin was involved in an accident.

According to the portal tvn24.pl, there were 120 passengers on the train, about 20 of whom were injured, at least four seriously. The accident occurred on the section between Radom and Poznań.
A representative of the fire and rescue service in Pruszków told tvn24.pl that a report was received about a collision between a passenger train and a truck in the Sokolniki Suche area of the Mazovian Voivodeship. Due to the accident, the train’s locomotive and some passenger cars derailed. Numerous fire and rescue teams, ambulance services, police, and Railway Protection forces worked at the scene.
The company “Intercity” reported that a six-car train with a locomotive collided with a truck that was on the crossing. As a result, the train derailed and part of the train overturned. Company representatives also confirmed the number of injured passengers.

According to the police, among the injured are the train driver and the truck driver.
Krzysztof Sobczak, the head of the Jeniavos municipality, shared photos from the scene on Facebook and warned of disruptions to both train and car traffic.
Details on how the accident might have happened have not yet been provided. There is also no comment on the condition of the injured passengers, except for the initial information that four of them were seriously injured.
The accident occurred at about 11:25 local time.
