According to Darius Maikštėnas, the measures planned after the 2024 storm are insufficient.
“The plans for 2024 were approved so that ESO would be prepared to cope with storms of the size experienced in 2024 by 2028. Now we had a storm twice as large. It is clear that those plans and measures, including mobilization, management, and investments, will not be enough. We are in a race with nature, and therefore we will also need to focus and require political decisions,” said D. Maikštėnas on Wednesday at the Seimas Committee on Energy and Sustainable Development.
