Firefighters were called to the forest areas surrounding the village of Rudlaukis, about 5 kilometers south of the town of Pajūralis.
At about 12:40 p.m., it was reported that a heavy vehicle caught fire.
The fire broke out on the district road Žemaičių Naumiestis-Teneniai–Pajūralis.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, the MAN 32460 dump truck was burning with open flames.

The fire was extinguished by the Kvėdarna and Pajūris firefighter teams and the firefighters of the 1st division of the Šilalė fire rescue service.
The fire was extinguished around 1:05 p.m.
The truck cabin and engine compartment burned out, and the front tire was destroyed.
It is believed that the cause of the fire was a technical malfunction in the truck’s engine compartment.
