“Heavy Terrace” will bring together as many as nine Vilnius bands representing different heavy music genres – from southern rock and stoner metal to deathcore and black metal.

“We are glad to have earned the trust of the festival organizers to be the ones who bring heavy music to ‘Vilnius Days’ for the first time. For us, this is not only an opportunity to hold concerts – it is a chance to show a wider Vilnius audience how vibrant, diverse, and interesting our city’s heavy music scene is,” say the organizers of “Heavy Terrace,” Mercury Booking.
Nine bands – on one Vilnius stage
It is symbolic that nine Vilnius bands will perform at the “Heavy Terrace.” According to the organizers, this decision was not accidental – “Vilnius Days” is a city celebration, so the stage became an opportunity to present exactly what Vilnius itself is creating in the field of heavy music. The variety of genres will leave no listener indifferent. Everyone who comes will find a sound they like.
“We want heavy music to be discovered not only by its fans”
Mercury Booking states that one of the main goals of the “Heavy Terrace” is to bring heavy music out of its usual concert environment and show it to a wider city audience.
“The Vilnius metal scene is much bigger and more diverse than it might seem to someone who hasn’t encountered it. There are excellent musicians here, different genres, and a very active community. We want ‘Heavy Terrace’ to be a place where not only loyal fans of this music can discover it, but also people who might be attending such a concert for the first time,” say the organizers.
According to them, the format of “Vilnius Days” is especially suitable for this. The festival attracts people to the city center every year who come not only for a specific performer or one genre, so the new stage can become an opportunity for heavy music to reach an audience it usually does not meet.

Heavy music – part of Vilnius culture
Although metal is often considered a rather closed musical subculture, this scene has existed in Vilnius for decades and today is very diverse – from classic heavy and hard rock to experimental post-metal and various extreme metal directions.
The organizers of “Heavy Terrace” hope that the new “Vilnius Days” stage will help bring this part of culture closer to the wider city life.
“It is important for us not only to play nine concerts loudly. We want to show that heavy music is part of Vilnius culture. It has its history, its creators, its audience, and it is still actively growing today. It should be noted that the first heavy music stage at ‘Vilnius Days’ will be dedicated specifically to Vilnius bands,” says Mercury Booking.
Two evenings at the “Summer Terrace”
The organizers invite both longtime heavy music listeners and those who are not yet familiar with the Vilnius metal scene to visit the “Heavy Terrace” stage.
“If you come to ‘Vilnius Days’ for completely different events but hear the sound of guitars coming from the ‘Summer Terrace’ – drop by. Maybe you will discover a band you haven’t heard before. And if metal is already your music – these two days will be a great opportunity to see in one place what the Vilnius scene is currently creating,” say the organizers of the “Heavy Terrace.”
