Meanwhile, in winter, if weather conditions are suitable, the track is planned to be used for snowboarding, freestyle skiing, and riding “Fat Bike” bicycles.

It is also planned to increase the accessibility of the sports base to different social groups and improve its adaptation for people with disabilities.

“Upon project implementation, the sports and physical activity infrastructure would be renovated and expanded, creating conditions to carry out a wider variety of physical activities at the sports base throughout the year,” the project explanatory note states.

The municipality will seek to attract funds from the Sports Support Fund for the project – it is expected to cover 53% of the project value, or 498.2 thousand euros. Therefore, it promises to participate in the call announced by the National Sports Agency for selecting and financing sports base improvement projects.

The call stipulates that the amount of funds allocated for one project can range from 100 thousand to 500 thousand euros, financing up to 75% of the expenses.
