„When I put ham and cheese inside, I get soft, juicy meatballs, and when cut, the melted cheese pleasantly surprises. I often make this dish for my family – it doesn’t take much time, and it disappears from the table instantly,“ says the woman, sharing her recipe.
Ingredients:
- 500 g chicken mince
- 100 g cooked or smoked ham
- 100 g processed cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
- salt
- ground black pepper
- a pinch of favorite chicken spices
- oil for frying
Preparation:
- Put the chicken mince in a bowl, crack in the egg, add the breadcrumbs, finely chopped onion and garlic. Season with salt, pepper, and chicken spices. Mix everything well.
- Cut the ham into small pieces, and the cheese into strips or grate it.
- Form a flat patty from the chicken mixture. Place the ham and cheese in the middle, then carefully fold the edges and shape the meatball so that the filling stays inside.
- Place the meatballs in a heated pan with a little oil and fry on both sides until nicely browned. Then reduce the heat, cover the pan with a lid, and cook for another 10–15 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked.
- Serve hot – when cut, the cheese inside should be pleasantly melted, and the ham adds extra flavor. Mashed potatoes, fresh vegetables, or favorite salad go perfectly with them.
