Known as the summer capital, Palanga truly turned into Lithuanian Champagne for a few hours that evening. The celebration held in the spaces of the restaurant and “boutique” hotel “Vila Komoda” attracted a record interest this year and gathered about 500 guests from all over Lithuania. Among them were entrepreneurs, artists, communication specialists, representatives of the gastronomy world, and long-time champagne culture enthusiasts. The event was attended by well-known national sommeliers Linas Kuklerius, Jolanta Smičienė, and others. The mood of the event was enhanced by songs performed by the artist Laura Kastanauskaitė.
According to the event organizer, champagne and event culture expert, and founder of the “Champagne Club” Greta Milerė, the interest was so great that in the last days they had to disappoint more than one person who wanted to participate in the event.
“In the last days, we received even more people wanting to join this celebration. It was one of the most pleasant problems I have encountered, but we simply did not have the capacity to accommodate all who wanted to attend. On the other hand, I have never aimed to grow the event solely by the number of participants. Quality, atmosphere, and the people who gather here are much more important to me. I want to maintain the opportunity to communicate, get to know each other, and enjoy every experience without rushing,” said G. Milerė.
Many female guests chose very elegant dresses, carefully matching accessories, and the entire evening atmosphere resembled refined summer celebrations in France. The event organizer Greta Milerė chose a white elegant dress during the evening, subtly reflecting the event’s aesthetics and the refinement characteristic of Champagne culture.

After more than four hours of the champagne exhibition, the evening was crowned by the “Gala” celebration with music, dancing, and a summery seaside mood.
Now in its third year, “Champagne and the Sea” has become not only an event dedicated to champagne culture but also one of the brightest summer traditions in Palanga, where people who value quality, aesthetics, and community meet.
