It concerns military equipment captured or obtained while repelling and pushing back Russian armed aggression. The equipment will be transferred free of charge for use as museum exhibits or in exhibitions.

The decision was made at the initiative of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture.

The transfer of captured military equipment units to foreign museums will contribute to international efforts to document the consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine, emphasized the Ministry of Defense.

First, museums in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Denmark, and the Netherlands will receive captured T-72 tanks intended for display in exhibitions. This enemy equipment is no longer suitable for combat operations, contains no explosive components, and can be exhibited to museum visitors abroad.

According to the ministry, such exhibitions abroad will help spread objective information about Ukraine’s ongoing fight for independence and provide the international community with tangible evidence of the war.

Moreover, the project will contribute to the development of cultural diplomacy and strengthening cooperation with foreign museums.

Earlier, Ukraine launched the “TrophyLab” initiative – a government portal that provides manufacturers, engineers, researchers, laboratories, and international partners access to captured military equipment so they can study Russian weaponry, added the Ukrainian ministry.
