In November, K. Evans suffered an Achilles tendon injury for the second time in his career. Between these two injuries, the American was also slowed down by a severe knee injury sustained in May 2025. However, the basketball player remains positive and talked about his process of returning to the court.

„I am already playing training-type games. I train regularly, everything is very intense. It’s crazy even to say this, but when I first tore my Achilles tendon, it was January, and then I was already playing in the preseason games of the next season. This time the injury happened in November, so I didn’t try to rush myself mentally. I was calm because I knew I had time. Everything is going well. I try to listen to my body, pay attention to small things, but at the same time not to lose my mind if I feel something. I try to find balance by listening to myself,“ the basketball player said.

Although K. Evans tries not to look too far ahead beyond the season with the „Lions“ club, the point guard himself says that he has always dreamed of returning to „Žalgiris“.

„As we talked about, if the stars align properly… I think I often dream about it: how I return to the court and see only green color, and around me I hear chanting ‘green and white’. Everyone standing, hugging. That would be the biggest possible shiver running through my body exactly when I would play my first comeback game. I have always dreamed about returning. Maybe I dreamed about returning under different circumstances, but it would be wonderful,“ K. Evans shared his thoughts.
