Basketball excitement on Nemunas Island

From 2 p.m., an active afternoon will begin here, centered around basketball.
The most accurate will be able to try their hand in the (L)Classic Shot contest, and the “Caravan” game will invite not only to watch but also to step onto the court themselves. The battles taking place throughout the afternoon will culminate in the grand game final.
Basketball fans will also look forward to a meeting with one of the members of the Kaunas “Žalgiris” team. This time, the conversation will not revolve around match results or the upcoming season. The basketball player will recall his school days and share advice with the youth.
The sporty afternoon will be complemented by music. The first to appear on stage will be Rokas Grajauskas with “Jama Freestyle,” and after the grand “Caravan” final, the concert part of the evening will begin. It will be opened by BIELSKIS with his band, DJ Lancevic will take the deck, and at 8:30 p.m., the main evening concert – “Beisoul & Einius” – will sound on Nemunas Island.
Throughout the event, there will be rest and food wagon zones here. So between basketball matches and concerts, it will be possible to take a break, have a snack, or just hang out with friends.
“Science Island” – experiments and brain battles
While balls fly through basketball hoops on Nemunas Island, the nearby “Science Island” will be full of experiments and challenges for the mind. From 2 p.m. in the amphitheater, a team of professional physicist scientists N2 will hold an impressive science show.
Later, everyone will be able to dive into a brain battle. Paulius Ambrazevičius will invite to a quiz where knowledge, quick reaction, and teamwork will come in handy. The festive program of “Science Island” will conclude with a concert by Lukas Pilkauskas and his band.
September 1st will offer more opportunities to explore the “Science Island” itself. On the festive day, a 20% discount will be applied to tickets for the long-term exhibition “HUMAN. NATURE. MACHINE.”, the planetarium, and STEAM laboratories.
From the first school bell to the evening concerts on the island – Kaunas will welcome the new academic year festively.
