A joint statement was issued a month after China launched a missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead in the Pacific region.
“Tests of ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads without sufficient prior warning and detailed information are dangerous and undermine the peace and security of the relevant states near these tests,” the joint statement by European, Indian, and Pacific region countries said.
“This increases the risk of miscalculation, harms global stability and security, and is incompatible with the responsibility that comes with having long-range missile capabilities,” the states said.
