And not without reason. V. Dambrauskas’ Baku “Sabah” defeated “Aarhus” 4:0 at home and erased the one-goal deficit brought from Denmark. They triumphed with an aggregate score of 5:2.

Now they are just one step away from the strongest European football tournament. The next opponent is “Beer Sheva” from Israel.
However, before this match, V. Dambrauskas suggested enjoying the victorious evening.
“We are a very good team, we have a lot of potential. Such evenings will not be forgotten so easily,” said V. Dambrauskas, hoarse and full of match emotions. “This is one of the biggest victories for this club and for me. The last qualifying round awaits, we have already reached the Europa League. What could be better?”
Sharing his thoughts about the match, the Lithuanian emphasized that he was somewhat surprised by the Danish play.
“Good match. The opponent surprised us. I thought they wouldn’t try to maintain the lead and would play like in Denmark,” V. Dambrauskas shared his emotions. “There was somehow more passivity and more desire to defend and press. That helped us catch the rhythm. They had one chance, we defended high, they have fast players. But when you have a lot of space behind, you can take more risks. When you make a mistake near your own goal, you can’t fix it.”
“Sabah” will continue the fight for a spot in the UEFA Champions League on August 19 and 25.
