After a successful arena tour, A. Mamontovas with the band will move to a place where a summer evening can be felt completely differently – closer to the audience, water, and nature. “The Best Songs. Part I” will take place at Klaipėda Castle, the Druskonis Lake amphitheater, and the Kaunas Yacht Club, with the mood of each concert also shaped by the venue itself.

For these concerts, scenographies are specially created around a central round screen, with LED and video projection elements integrated into the decor. Visuals during the events will be created live by video artist Stasys Žak from Berlin, who worked on the major A. Mamontovas concerts this year and became an important part of their visual world.
“We wanted each place to have a clear character. Klaipėda Castle has a long concert history with Andrius – his performances here took place when the space was just beginning to open up for larger music events. The Druskonis Lake amphitheater will allow experiencing the concert in the very center of Druskininkai, and the Kaunas Yacht Club is already a favorite spot by the sea for the audience,” says concert organizer Marius Tumšys.
The concert evenings will begin with alternative pop music artist Laura Kešytė-Mexeny and her band. The artist, who creates an expressive musical and visual world, has released a debut album “Horror Stories” and this year presented a short musical film “Pokahonta.” Her performance will be the first part of the evening before A. Mamontovas and the band take the stage.
The best songs, an international band, and a birthday evening
At the summer concerts, A. Mamontovas will be accompanied by an international group of musicians with whom he has held his biggest performances in recent years. The musicians arriving from Berlin have already become an important part of the new concert sound, and the drums will be played by the artist’s son, Andrius Mamontovas Jr.
After the big arenas, this program will move to more open, closer summer spaces but will retain all the energy built by the band. The concerts will feature the brightest works of A. Mamontovas and the band “Foje” – from “Campfire Light,” “Yellow. Green. Red,” and “Sun City” to “Sailor’s Song,” “Your Dreams,” and “Mars Canyons.”
These are songs that have accompanied different generations for several decades. Some remind of the first concerts and cassettes, others came into life much later, but over time all have become part of personal stories, travels, and many summers.
The three-concert weekend will end with a personal occasion – on August 23, A. Mamontovas will celebrate his birthday on the Kaunas Yacht Club stage. Thus, the last night of the tour will become not only the culmination of the summer concerts but also a birthday concert by the sea.
Andrius Mamontovas’ “Best Songs” concerts with the band will take place on August 21 at Klaipėda Castle, August 22 at the Druskonis Lake amphitheater in Druskininkai, and August 23 at the Kaunas Yacht Club.
