V. Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine expects to receive 300 missile interceptors by winter, as their stocks in Ukraine are almost depleted.
According to him, if this issue is not resolved by winter, Russian missile strikes could destroy Ukraine’s power plants, again leaving millions of Ukrainians without heating and causing a humanitarian disaster.
D. Trump agreed during a meeting on Tuesday to continue working on granting production licenses for the “Patriot” to Ukraine, V. Zelensky said, adding that after the visit to the White House he met with representatives of the companies “Lockheed Martin” and “Raytheon” that manufacture “Patriot” missiles.
However, even if Ukraine receives the licenses, producing a large number of missiles will take from one to five years, and such a schedule is not suitable for Ukraine, V. Zelensky added.

“We needed ‘Patriot’ missiles yesterday,” he said, explaining that Russia uses 30 to 40 ballistic missiles during each large-scale strike against Ukraine, and such attacks occur three to five times a month.
The Ukrainian leader said that D. Trump promised to try to help, but at the same time implied that it would be difficult due to the need for these missiles in the war against Iran.
He emphasized that Ukraine is ready to share any military technologies or experience needed by the US in exchange for “Patriot” missile interceptors.
