According to M. Marcinkevičienė, this delicious, nutritious, inexpensive, and beneficial smoothie can be enjoyed all year round. The blueberry grower herself usually adds frozen, unthawed berries to it, but fresh ones can also be used. To make the smoothie, you will need:
- 300 g fresh Lithuanian blueberries;
- 2 bananas;
- 300 ml milk, kefir, or Greek yogurt;
- a handful of chopped nuts;
- 1–2 tbsp. honey or maple syrup (to taste).
Preparation.
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. If you want an even more filling smoothie, you can additionally add oatmeal, flax seeds, or other favorite ingredients.
Blueberry Crumble

For this simple, inexpensive, and less than an hour to prepare delicacy, you will need:
- 600 g fresh Lithuanian blueberries;
- 60 g sugar;
- 15 g starch;
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice;
- 120 g wheat flour;
- 80 g rolled oats;
- 100 g butter;
- 80 g sugar;
- salt, cinnamon (to taste).
Preparation.
In a baking dish, mix blueberries, sugar, starch, and lemon juice. In another bowl, mix flour, rolled oats, sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Add chilled butter and rub with your fingers until coarse crumbs form. Spread this mixture evenly over the blueberries. Bake in a 180-degree oven for 35–40 minutes. Can be eaten alone, with ice cream, or whipped cream.
