On July 16, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the new composition of the Cabinet of Ministers. On that day, M. Fedorov was dismissed from the post of Minister of Defense.
His resignation was accompanied by mass protests in Kyiv and other cities, whose participants called for M. Fedorov to remain in office. Protesters also expressed dissatisfaction with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, whom V. Zelensky dismissed on Monday.
