The Barcelona club player was spotted wearing a cap with the inscription “Make Spain Great Again” (Lith. “Let’s make Spain great again”) – an obvious reference to Donald Trump’s slogan “Make America Great Again” (Lith. “Let’s make America great again”).
The White House reacted to F. Torres’s choice by tweeting a six-word statement on social network “X”: “Everyone wants in on the movement”.
It is still unclear why F. Torres decided to wear this cap: whether to mock the Trump administration, or simply considering that it was the US president who presented the World Cup trophy to the Spanish national football team.
However, F. Torres also received criticism – the Spanish news portal “El Plural” stated that his cap was “a clear ideological message that provoked a lot of criticism online”.

However, it seems that the Spanish star was not too bothered by the commotion – he posted several photos from the parade on social network “X”, where the famous cap was clearly visible.
“Somos los reyessssss! Vaya locura!” – F. Torres tweeted under the post, which translates to: “We are the kings! This is total madness!”
It was D. Trump, along with FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who presented Spain with the World Cup trophy, even though the president decided not to step aside during the ceremony itself.
As the Spanish players lifted the trophy, D. Trump remained standing on the podium, smiling broadly at the cameras, creating a rather comical shot.
Body language expert Mark Bowden explained to “UNILAD” via casino.ca why the US president was so eager to remain on stage during the moments of joy.
“Trump lingers on the edge of the group just as the final confetti cannons fire – all for a celebratory shot that will be shown worldwide,” the expert said.
