Excursion spots were fully booked before the event
The start of the celebration was traditionally marked by the opening of a new drink barrel and thanks to the brewery brewers. It is their craft, knowledge, and creative pursuits that annually become an important part of the “Brewers’ Day by Volfas Engelman Non-Alcoholic” program. This year, event participants could taste four specially brewed drinks inspired by the experiences accumulated by brewers in different parts of the world in the tasting area.

“We started organizing the Brewers’ Day celebration to show people up close how much knowledge, work, and creativity lie behind every drink we create. We also want to honor our brewers, without whom there would be no ‘Volfas Engelman.’ Today we see that this event has grown into a much-anticipated and already traditional city celebration,” says Marius Horbačauskas, CEO of Volfas Engelman.

The tours of the large “Volfas Engelman” brewery also attracted great interest. Only visitors who registered in advance could attend, and all spots were reserved before the event. Tour participants saw production areas usually closed to visitors, learned about the beverage production process, heard about recipe creation, and the subtleties of brewers’ work.
Usually, tours take place in a much smaller studio bravura, so the once-a-year opportunity to see the entire large brewery became one of the most distinctive highlights of the evening.
“The audience surprised us with their curiosity – people chose tours, discussed with brewers, participated in tastings, showed interest in the processes, and came not only to listen to music. We aim to maintain such a close connection constantly, not just once a year, so this direct encounter with our community is the greatest value of the celebration for us,” notes M. Horbačauskas.
By the stage – until midnight
As the evening progressed, more and more people gathered by the main stage, where the concert program continued until midnight – an hour longer than in previous years.

The audience was invited to sing along by Saulius Prūsaitis, and as always, the band “Antikvariniai Kašpirovskio dantys” delivered an energetic performance.

The musical evening program was crowned by Jovani, who has been returning to “Brewers’ Day by Volfas Engelman Non-Alcoholic” for several years. During his performance, the brewery surroundings echoed with his own songs, which the gathered audience sang along with him.
“It is always good to return to Brewers’ Day in Kaunas. Playing in the city center is a completely different feeling than in a usual festival space – people are close, you see their reactions, and from the first songs, you feel a connection with the audience. I want listeners to recognize the songs, sing along, relax, and leave home with a smile after the performance. That was exactly how it was tonight,” says Jovani.
Since 2018, the Brewers’ Day organized by “Volfas Engelman” has become one of the most anticipated summer celebrations in Kaunas, gathering over 7,000 visitors annually. According to the organizers, the event’s idea remains unchanged – to open the brewery doors every year, introduce people to the brewers’ work, and invite them to spend a summer evening together.
