On July 14, NATO air policing fighters identified an IL-20 reconnaissance aircraft flying from the Kaliningrad region and returning to the Kaliningrad region. The aircraft flew without its radar transponder on, without a flight plan, and did not maintain radio communication with the RSVC.
On the same day, NATO fighters identified an IL-76 transport aircraft flying from mainland Russia to the Kaliningrad region. It flew with its radar transponder on, without a flight plan, and maintained radio communication with the RSVC.
Also, last Friday NATO fighters flew to identify an IL-20M reconnaissance aircraft, which flew without its radar transponder on, without a flight plan, but maintained communication with the RSVC.

The NATO air policing mission in the Baltic countries is conducted from Lithuania and Estonia.
