“It has been confirmed that the target was destroyed and a fire broke out on the plant’s territory. The extent of the damage is being clarified,” the General Staff statement said.

This is one of the main Russian oil infrastructure companies and the fourth largest oil refining plant, with a refining capacity of up to 17 million tons of oil per year.

It is noteworthy that the plant provides up to 11% of gasoline production for Russia.

As V. Zelensky wrote on the Telegram platform, in one day Ukrainian defenders destroyed a total of 16 targets in Russia. First of all, long-range strikes were carried out against oil facilities – “Russia’s oil wallet financing the war.”

“Airports, missile units, and infrastructure constantly used for strikes against Ukraine were also hit. Our ‘sanctions’ have proven effective both for the military enterprise and Russian logistics,” the Ukrainian president noted.

According to V. Zelensky, the war must return to where it came from.

“Ukraine responds to Russian strikes and does so in a way that inevitably increases the cost of war for the aggressor. We are rightly reducing Russia’s aggression potential,” the head of state emphasized.
