During the incident, unauthorized persons accessed customers’ first names, last names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and order history. According to the store, this data may have been copied.
Customer account passwords were not stored in plain text in the system – a reliable hashing mechanism was applied to them. Therefore, as stated in the announcement, passwords were not disclosed in plain form. However, customers are recommended to change them for security reasons.
The store also emphasized that it does not store bank login data in its system, so these were not disclosed during the incident.
Currently, the company has no information that the illegally obtained customer data has been made public. It reported the incident to the police, the National Cyber Security Center, and the State Data Protection Inspectorate.
Since the illegally obtained contact data may be used for fraud attempts, the store urged customers to carefully evaluate unusual emails, SMS messages, and other notifications, not to click on suspicious links, and not to open unknown attachments.

If there are doubts about a message received in the name of “Armijai ir civiliams” or AIC, customers are advised to contact the store by phone +370 37 407 755 or email info@aic.lt to verify the authenticity of the message.
The company also recommends changing the password for the online store account. If the same password is used on other accounts, it is advised to change it there as well. If signs of possible fraud are noticed, customers are urged to contact the police.
According to the store, the incident has already been localized, vulnerabilities identified have been eliminated, and the online store’s operation has been restored. Additional security measures have also been implemented to prevent similar incidents in the future.
“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding,” said the “Armijai ir civiliams” online store team in the letter to customers.
