The clash of championship favorites caused a huge stir. Although the Vilnius stadium officially holds 5067 spectators, these matches were officially watched by as many as 6480 fans.
The gathered crowd was not disappointed.
The match started very turbulently. After just five minutes, Paulius Golubickas made a great pass to Matas Vareika, and the Žalgiris player, having outrun Marko Konatar, struck irresistibly.
