Where and when to plant amaryllis?
Planted amaryllis bulbs usually bloom after about 6–8 weeks. They can be planted from the end of September to January. If you want the amaryllis to bloom by Christmas, the bulb should be planted already at the end of September or the beginning of October.

Amaryllis grow best in a bright place, but direct sunlight, especially at midday, should be avoided. A table near a sunny window or a windowsill that the sun illuminates in the morning or afternoon is suitable.

It is important to protect the plant from cold drafts and not to place it too close to radiators or other heat sources. A warm greenhouse can also be a great place.
