The principle of the TV game is simple, yet somewhat unusual – the more correct answers you collect, the sooner you can say goodbye to the class. And the last participant remaining in it receives the title of “The Nation’s Dumbest”.

Although V. Kaniušonis has plenty of knowledge, something else gets in the way here – often the answer is needed immediately upon hearing the question. At such moments, according to the actor, the brain can simply lock up.
“I have knowledge, but this is more a matter of the moment. When you hear the question and need to answer it right away, a kind of stupor appears. My processor is no longer new – it still functions more slowly,” he said with a smile.
Calling himself an adventurer, V. Kaniušonis said that what attracted him most to this project was the opportunity to laugh at himself. As he jokes, serious roles are already not lacking in his life.

“I am an adventurer by nature, so I really like all kinds of challenges. As soon as I heard the show’s name, I immediately agreed. I often play too serious roles – in reality, there is no time to laugh. That’s why I came,” he said.
And although the actor constantly has to learn mountains of scripts, that alone does not guarantee success in this game. V. Kaniušonis admitted – what helps on stage does not necessarily help when answering geography or chemistry questions.

The ability to maintain attention also becomes a challenge when there is no shortage of other participants’ laughter, remarks, and emotions around: “As sometimes happens in theater or cinema, when you need to say your line – a blank sheet, and you remember nothing. Attention wanders wherever it wants. Sometimes it is really hard to keep it.”
In the film “The Gambler,” where he played a passionate character, V. Kaniušonis admitted that in real life he views competition much more simply. He definitely does not intend to cling with nails and teeth for the best result!
“And I don’t have good teeth, and my nails break soon. So I don’t hold on to that sheet,” he joked.
And how would V. Kaniušonis himself feel if his name ended up next to the title of “The Nation’s Dumbest”?
The actor looked at such a possibility with humor, but whether his self-irony will last long will be revealed soon.
