Over the next 11 days, many Hollywood and other stars will walk the festival red carpet – from Robert Pattinson to Noel and Liam Gallagher of the band “Oasis,” but it seems that this year the focus is more on geopolitics than movie stars. The broad program includes documentaries about the conflict in the Gaza Strip (“Naza”), Elon Musk (“Musk”), independent Russian journalists covering the war in Ukraine (“My Undesirable Friends — Part II: Exile”), as well as Palestinian films and a short film about the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Minneapolis.
