This summer, a significant increase in civilian casualties is recorded in the war that has lasted for more than two years.
A Russian attack on a residential building in Ukraine’s Kharkiv city claimed another life, Kyiv reported.
These strikes occurred a day after 20 people were killed on both sides of the front line. Kyiv and Moscow are intensifying attacks, and diplomatic efforts to end the war started by Russia in 2022 are at a stalemate.
In Russian-controlled Horlivka, Eastern Ukraine, four people were killed in a Ukrainian drone attack, Russian occupation authorities operating there reported.
Another person was killed in the occupied part of Kherson region, Moscow-appointed officials stated.
Authorities in Russia’s border Belgorod region reported that one person was killed by a Ukrainian drone in Smorodino village.

In Kyiv, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that rescue services are working at a residential building in Kharkiv that was hit by a Russian drone.
“Tragically, one person was killed and nine others were injured, including two children,” he said.
“The capital was hit by ballistic missiles, three people were injured,” Zelenskyy added.
US-led negotiations to end hostilities are stalled. The Kremlin occupies large territories of Eastern and Southern Ukraine and has repeatedly stated its intention to forcibly seize the rest of Eastern Ukraine.
