Strikes were carried out at a time when Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is preparing to meet with allies in Paris and negotiate how to force Moscow to end the nearly four-and-a-half-year-long war.
Kyiv has intensified retaliatory strikes against Russia, reaching targets even in Siberia and the Ural region. Due to these strikes, fuel shortages have begun across the country, and V. Zelensky promises to continue putting pressure on Moscow.
Moscow region governor Andrey Vorobyov stated that 81 drones were shot down in the region surrounding the capital.

“In the Pionersky settlement of the Istra municipality, three people died due to a fallen drone, and three more were injured,” he reported, adding that two more people were injured in another part of the region.
Russian officials also reported that a woman died in the border town of Berezovka in the Belgorod region, and that the southern Stavropol region was attacked.
