“Friends, I am infinitely grateful to you for your support. You are incredible! Words cannot describe how important your words are to me and with what warmth I read them. Unfortunately, the situation in life, to put it mildly, is not the best, but I am holding on. My friends, family, followers – you are my strength. I will get in touch with you as soon as I am ready. I love you,” wrote V. Hrabovas.
Earlier, the coach of the show “Weighing and Happy,” Marina Borzhemskaya, also shared a photo of Viacheslav from a hospital ward.
It was Borzhemskaya who first publicly announced the tragedy that befell the Hrabov family. According to her, Viacheslav’s parents and his brother died. The man himself is currently being treated in the hospital. The coach also appealed to her followers asking them to support the man and announced a fundraiser for the funeral of his relatives and other necessary expenses.
Under the coach’s video, users noticed in the comments that it was about the shooting that took place on the evening of August 29 in Odesa, on Akademika Vil’yamsa Street.
According to police data, at that time a 50-year-old man used a hunting rifle in one of the apartment buildings. As later reported by the media, it turned out that the perpetrator of the horrific attack was Viacheslav’s own brother. After a domestic conflict, he shot his parents, injured Viacheslav, and finally committed suicide. Two people died in the shooting, another man was injured and taken to the hospital.

After the attack, the shooter barricaded himself in the apartment and later committed suicide. Due to the tragedy, law enforcement launched a pre-trial investigation for the intentional killing of two or more people.

Viacheslav Hrabov became the winner of the 10th season of the show “Weighing and Happy” in December 2025. The Odesa resident demonstrated the best result in the final and won the grand prize – 300 thousand hryvnias.
At the beginning of the project, the man weighed 195 kilograms, and his height was 178 centimeters. Participating in the show, he lost as much as 104 kilograms – down to 91 kilograms.
V. Hrabovas has said that he fought with overweight all his life. Even during school and university years, when he practiced kickboxing, the man had problems with obesity. His main motivation to change his life he named his two children – daughter Miroslava and son David.
