D. Tusk speculated that one of the reasons for such behavior is political support within the country.
“It is no coincidence that the man who beat a Ukrainian woman boasted of being a border defender,” the prime minister emphasized.
Responding to recent events, as reports of violence by Polish citizens against Ukrainians increase, D. Tusk decided to address the Polish leader directly.
He stressed that K. Nawrocki no longer has the right to remain silent and must intervene and respond to the activities of radical groups.
“Do not be indifferent. We know that indifference is the root of crime. It is the perfect environment for hooliganism, brutal crimes, and evil to thrive. We must not forget this,” said D. Tusk.
According to him, humiliating Ukrainians is a blow to Poland’s own interests. For this reason, the head of government urged Poles themselves to react and immediately report similar cases of violence.

On July 27, information appeared online that three Poles attacked a Ukrainian girl and boy in the city of Wrocław, allegedly because of their accent.
The mother of the injured Ukrainian woman told on the social network “Threads” that the conflict started in one of the stores and then the fight continued on the street. Her daughter and boyfriend suffered serious injuries.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the consulate general in Wrocław urged Polish law enforcement officers to promptly respond to information about the beating of two Ukrainian citizens in Poland.
“We are forced to note that recently cases of violence and aggression against Ukrainian citizens have increased in Poland. Each such case requires a thorough investigation and proper legal assessment,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
On the same evening, the Polish Minister of the Interior, Marcin Kierwiński, announced that law enforcement officers in Wrocław detained two men suspected of attacking and brutally beating Ukrainian citizens.
According to the minister, both detainees had previous convictions. One of the suspects was detained by police anti-terrorism unit officers when he tried to leave Wrocław.
