Meanwhile, in the Panevėžys district, the head of the municipality’s architecture department Donatas Malinauskas will seek the mayor’s position, in the Pakruojis district – party branch chairman Vytautas Jukna, in the Prienai district – municipality council member Jovydas Juocevičius, in Rietavas – municipality council member Egidijus Gricius, in the Raseiniai district – municipality council member, former Raseiniai district mayor Andrius Bautronis, in the Rokiškis district – businesswoman Ieva Kupčinskienė, in the Utena district – municipality council member Kristina Gogelienė, in the Varėna district – branch chairman, former deputy mayor Tomas Šimukonis, in the Vilkaviškis district – branch chairman Arūnas Talutis, and in the Zarasai district – municipality council member, former Deputy Minister of the Interior Arnoldas Abramavičius.
With the candidates confirmed on Saturday, TS-LKD has already nominated 30 candidates for mayors. The remaining mayoral candidates will be approved in October.

“We have prepared and will approve the party program at the congress next week. Local government is closest to the person every day – through the availability and quality of services. We aim to make it easier to raise a family, work, and create in cities and districts, to have more accessible housing and other essential services, and a safe living environment,” said the party chairman Laurynas Kasčiūnas in a statement.
Meanwhile, on Saturday in Kaunas, conservatives and supporters of this party started voting on which candidate the largest opposition party should nominate for the mayor of Kaunas city.
