Mykolas Alekna demonstrated the highest class of discus throwing at the final stage of the “Diamond League”. The Lithuanian threw the implement 70.14 m and won second place.

The champion title was won by Slovenian Kristjan Čeh, who threw 71.29 m. The thrower achieved this on his third attempt.
The third place in this event went to Jamaican, 2024 Olympic champion, Rojas Stone. He threw the discus 68.86 m.

The final also featured Australian Matthew Denny, who took fourth place (68.04 m), Swede Daniel Stahl in fifth (67.92 m), and German Henrik Jannsen in sixth (66.30 m).
M. Alekna holds the world discus throw record (75.56 m).
On September 12, in Vilnius Vingis Park, M. Alekna, K. Čeh, and R. Stone will compete for the last time this season.
