The third stage of the "Citywave Vilnius Rapid Surf Series" took place: the winners have been announced

Small spectators gathered to support their relatives, friends, others came to get acquainted with this increasingly popular sport. Participants competed in 3 categories, so it was possible to see athletes of various ages and experience.

The competition is not only aimed at selecting the strongest athletes, but it is also a great opportunity to meet the entire rapid surf community and water sports enthusiasts. Participants and support teams from Lithuania and Latvia came to Vilnius, with a total of 32 athletes participating in the competition, and the stands were buzzing with excitement and good mood all day long.

The competition started with the youngest participants. There were as many as 12 children participating, 8 of whom came from Latvia. The main focus was on the main women’s and men’s categories and the appearance of the guest and judge from Germany – professional surfer Marius Gerlach. His show was the cherry on top of the entire program and allowed the audience to enjoy a great spectacle.

In the third stage of the “citywave Vilnius Rapid Surf Series,” participants competed in six categories: boys, girls, amateur women, amateur men, women, and men.

“We are glad that each time we receive more and more participants and supporters. Participants get stronger with each competition, the community becomes more involved in the organized events and our daily activities. This shows that the rapid surf discipline has interest and we want to continue actively educating and introducing people to this sport and its culture both in Lithuania and the Baltic countries.”
