„We have quite a broad range of topics that need to be discussed,“ he added.
The portal „Verslo žinios“ reported on Tuesday that the companies HISK, „Tilsta“ and Italy’s „Rizzani de Eccher“ have filed four lawsuits against the client, „LTG Infra“, implementing the „Rail Baltica“ project.
After the Latvian national airline „Air Baltic“ announced the suspension of three winter season routes from Lithuania, the Prime Minister reiterated that the most important thing is that the number of air traffic destinations does not decrease.
„We are thinking maybe not so much about buying shares („Air Baltic“ – BNS) or contributing to the operation of this airline, but as a country we are interested in the number of flight destinations remaining either growing or at least not decreasing (…). We see everything comprehensively and so far there are no decisions,“ said M. Sinkevičius.
According to the Prime Minister, Lithuania has not received a new offer to purchase „Air Baltic“ shares, as Latvia had previously proposed.

„We have neither received an offer from the Latvian side nor been asked about it, but it may be that this issue will return to the agenda in the coming weeks,“ said M. Sinkevičius.
As BNS wrote, „Air Baltic“ will stop flights from Vilnius to Berlin and Dubai, from Palanga to Tenerife, and will also reduce their volume between Vilnius and Tallinn in the upcoming winter season.
J. Taminskas stated at the end of July that there is no data that the Latvian company is reducing flights in Lithuania or withdrawing from the country altogether. He said a plan is being prepared in case „Air Baltic“ reduces flight volumes or decides to withdraw completely from Lithuania. At the same time, J. Taminskas urged not to panic prematurely and not to „freak out“.
The Latvian Ministry of Transport officially offered Lithuania and Estonia last year to purchase part of „Air Baltic“ shares.
